Hoosier Farmers See Good Yields On Soybeans

Last updated on Thursday, October 26, 2006

(UNDATED) - Indiana farmers say this year’s soybean yield appears better than average.

As harvests continue, Indiana fields are offering a much as 60 bushels of soybeans per acre. That's far better than the national average of 42 bushels per acre.

Farmers say rains in the late summer and strong soybean prices could mean solid profits at market as the season wanes.
