(INDIANAPOLIS) - A home cholesterol checker made by an Indianapolis firm is available in stores for the first time.

Polymer Technology Systems says Wal-Mart has placed a big order for the Cardiochek cholesterol meter and will sell it in its 12-hundred stores nationwide.

The company says it's negotiating to place the device in six-thousand more stores. Until now, it was only available online.
