More ISP To Work Labor Day Weekend

Last updated on Thursday, August 31, 2006

(UNDATED) - Indiana State Police will be increasing patrols during the Labor Day Weekend.

Officers will be participating in Operation C.A.R.E., or Combined Accident Reduction Effort, and Operation Pull Over.

The holiday period will run from Friday, September 1st through Monday, September 4th. Over 150 additional troopers will be patrolling the states roadways in marked and unmarked patrol vehicles.

Troopers will be looking for drivers who are drinking and driving, speeding, following too closely and driving aggressively. Troopers will also aggressively enforce all seat belt and child restraint violations.

The ISP reminds drivers to remember that driving comes with important responsibilities to yourself, to your passengers and to other drivers.
