(BLOOMINGTON) - Nineteen vintage biplanes, most of them from the ’20s and ’30s, were at Bloomington’s Kister Field yesterday for the third stop on a Midwest barnstorming tour.
Flying machines 60-to-80 years old took off from Fort Wayne three and four at a time, landing in Bloomington less than two hours later.
Cook Aviation manager Rex Hinkle says the pilots offered half-hour rides at each stop.
