Teenage Boy Accused Of Interstate Sniper Shootings

A 17-year old suspect was arrested Tuesday afternoon for Sunday’s sniper shootings that resulted in the death of one Indiana resident.

Zachariah Blanton has been identified as the prime suspect in the shootings, and is being held in the Jackson County jail with a preliminary charge of murder.

Blanton, a native of the Delaware County town of Gaston, is reported to live close to where the Delaware County shootings took place on Sunday. Police recovered a Model 710 Remington Rifle during the investigation.
