Last updated on Monday, July 24, 2006

(NEW ALBANY) - A Southern Indiana man is suing the Papa John’s pizza franchise for 5-million dollars over injuries suffered last July when he fell into a pit of hot grease.

The accident occured at the Papa John's Commissary in Jefferson County. 50-year old Bill Williams of New Albany was working for an industrial cleaning business and attempting to clear a grease clog when the incident occurred.

Williams claims he now takes nine medications daily, he must eat through a tube in his stomach and that he suffered a stroke that left him blind in one eye due to injuries suffered in the job-related accident. Papa John's has not commented on the suit.
