State Prepares For Possible Pandemic

Last updated on Wednesday, May 10, 2006

(UNDATED) - Indiana expects to complete a state preparedness plan for a possible flu pandemic sometime next month.

Homeland Security Planning Director Cliff Wojtalewicz says the state kick-started work on a flu plan after a flu summit at Purdue in March.

Scientists figure the world is overdue for a pandemic. Wojtalewicz says it would affect every aspect of life, from who runs the government on down.
