No Privacy In Cyberspace

Last updated on Thursday, May 11, 2006

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana University computer-security researcher Mark Meiss
says people who vent on their blogs or post photos on Myspace might as well be broadcasting worldwide.

I.U. is running a PowerPoint demonstration at this week's Intel Science Fair in Indy of just how what you post can shoot you in the virtual foot.

Researcher Ed Balas says three-quarters of employers now routinely Google applicants to see what comes up.

And once something's in cyberspace, it's there for good. Balas says the first rule of the internet is there is no privacy.
