The Indiana BMV could soon be required to grant a type of drivers license to illegal immigrants.
State Representative Democrat John Aguilera will propose a bill in the upcoming lesgislative session that allows “undocumented workers” to receive driving privileges.
The East Chicago, Illinois Democrat says the license would not serve as a legal ID.
Aguilera says this would allow these workers to drive legally and obtain car insurance. They’d also be required to pass a driving test.
