Boilermakers Pick Up Eighth Straight Win To Start The Season

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - The Purdue Boilermakers are 8-0 for the first time since the 1993-1994 season after pounding Valparaiso 86-62 at Mackey Arena.

JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore led the fifth-ranked Boilers with 19 points apiece with Robbie Hummel finishing with 15 points and Keaton Grant adding ten.

Purdue opened the game with a 22-3 run and never trailed.

Brandon Wood scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Crusaders with Cory Johnson adding eleven as Valpo falls to 3-6.

Purdue plays its first true road game of the season when they face Alabama Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

The Crusaders return home to take on Toledo on Saturday afternoon.
