(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Colby Rasmus hit a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning as the St. Louis Cardinals edged the San Francisco Giants 2-1, snapping a three-game losing streak.

Rasmus got a second chance in the tenth when Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval dropped Rasmus' foul pop up for San Francisco's third error of the game.

Rasmus then hammered a 3-2 pitch from Bobby Howry over the right centerfield wall to give St. Louis the win.

Neither starter figured in the decision despite strong outings.

St. Louis' Adam Wainwright allowed a run on six hits and struck out twelve over nine innings.

The Giants' Matt Cain gave up a run on six hits in seven innings of work.
