Landry Shot In Leg, Out 1-3 Weeks
(HOUSTON, TX) - Former Purdue Forward Carl Landry was treated and released at a Houston hospital for a gunshot wound to his lower leg.
Landry, who plays for the Houston Rockets of the NBA, was shot early Tuesday morning following a minor traffic accident on a Houston street.
He had returned to Houston earlier Tuesday morning from New Orleans where the rockets had defeated the Hornets on Monday night.
Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey said Landry suffered a "surface wound" to his left calf that was no worse than a calf strain.
Landry is expected to be out for anywhere from one to three weeks.
