New Purdue Football Coach Announces Coaching Shakeup

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - New Purdue football coach Danny Hope has announced a shakeup in the Boilermakers’ staff.

Hope announced the hiring of Gary Nord as offensive coordinator and Shawn Clark as offensive line coach.

Nord served as an assistant coach to Howard Schnellenberger at Florida Atlantic since 2004, spending the last four seasons as the Owls' offensive coordinator. Clark has been offensive line coach at Eastern Kentucky since 2003, serving under hope in that capacity for five of those six seasons.

Hope also announced that JB Gibboney has been elevated from graduate assistant to special teams coordinator.

Offensive coordinator Ed Zaunbrecher and offensive line coach John McDonell were not retained from former coach Joe Tiller's staff.
