Ball State Receiver Released From Rehab Hospital
(MUNCIE, IN) - Ball State wide receiver Dante Love was released from an Indianapolis rehabilitation hospital late last week.
Love suffered a career-ending spinal fracture during the Cardinals' September 20th game at Indiana.
Ball State Head Coach Brady Hoke says that Love will return to Muncie sometime this week. He has been at his home in Cincinnati since leaving the rehabilitation center.
Love suffered a fracture to the fifth vertebra in his neck. He is expected to recover and lead a normal life but will not play football again.
Love was an All-Mid-Amercan Conference first team selection as a junior last season after catching 100 passes for 1,398 yards and ten touchdowns. He was leading the nation in receiving at 144.3 yards per game when he was injured.
Love finished his Ball State career as the school's leading kickoff returner and second on the career lists for receiving yards and receptions.
