Granger Poised To Become Face, Leader Of Pacers Squad

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers open training camp this morning at Conseco Fieldhouse.

It will be a revamped roster taking to the court today as an offseason trades bring point guards TJ Ford and Jarrett Jack, forward Josh McRoberts and center Rasho Nesterovic to the Pacers. Attention will also be focused on rookie center Roy Hibbert and rookie guard Brandon Rush.

Danny Granger appears poised to become the team leader after the blue-and-gold traded away six-time all-star Jermaine O'Neal.

The Pacers open the exhibition schedule on October 8th when they host the New Orleans Hornets at the Pepsi Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The Coliseum was the Pacers' original home as the blue-and-gold played their for most of their days in the American Basketball Association from 1967 to 1974.

The regular season begins on October 29th when they face the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
