Fever Not Backing Down From Shock
(DETROIT) - The Indiana Fever extended their season with an 89-82 overtime win in game two of their opening round WNBA playoff series against the Detroit Shock.
Facing elimination, the Fever forced a deciding game three in the series as four players scored in double figures and the team hit 34-of-37 free throws.
Forward Tamika Catchings scored 27 points, forward Ebony Hoffman had 15 points and 12 rebounds, center Tammy Sutton-Brown scored 19, and Katie Douglas hit for 10.
The Fever had been 0-and-4 against the Shock this season before the win. The third and final game of the series will be Tuesday night in Detroit.
