Brackett Returns To Colts Squad

(TERRE HAUTE, IN) - Thursday night’s colts practice was marked by the return of starting middle linebacker Gary Brackett.
Brackett had been limited to one practice a day following an offseason hip injury when he suffered a groin injury last week. Brackett was not expected to return until next week.
Head Coach Tony Dungy did not say whether or not Brackett will play against the Panthers on Saturday night.
Brackett's return is a welcome addition for the Colts, who are shorthanded at linebacker. Tyjuan Hagler, Clint Session and rookie Phillip Wheeler have not practiced this week due to injuries.
Coe In Or Out This Season?
The Colts will be without second-year defensive back Michael Coe for at least two months. Coe had surgery on his left knee Wednesday after suffering an injury during practice last week.
The Colts have not made a decision regarding Coe's future. They must either keep him on the 53-man active roster when final cuts are made on August 30th even though he won't be back until sometime in October or place him on injured reserve, ending his season.
Head Coach Tony Dungy says they will delay that decision for as long as they can.
