Rookie Orientation Wraps Up At Speedway
(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Alex Lloyd turned in the fastest lap of the day as rookie orientation concluded at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Lloyd's lap of 223.033 miles per hour was easily the fastest of the two days of ROP.
Hideki Mutoh, Will Power and Oriol Servia all lapped the two and-a-half-mile oval at more than 222 miles per hour.
Enrique Bernoldi passed the final phase of his rookie test. Mario Moraes and Mario Dominguez completed the first three phases of their rookie tests while veterans Davey Hamilton and Bruno Junqueira passed their refresher tests.
The other veterans will join the quest for speed today as open practice begins.
