Police: Harrison Not A Suspect In Philly Shooting
(PHILADELPHIA, PA) - Philadelphia police still say that Indianapolis colts receiver Marvin Harrison is not a suspect in an April 29th shooting near a business he owns in north Philadelphia.
ESPN and the Philadelphia Daily News have reported that bullets found at the scene came from a handgun owned by Harrison. Both outlets are citing unarmed police sources in their reports.
A man was shot in the hand and a two-year-old boy suffered a cut under his eye when another bullet shattered a car windshield near a car detailing shop Harrison owns. Police have released a report on the shooting and Harrison and the Colts have not commented on the incident.
Under Pennsylvania law, Harrison could be subject to a misdemeanor charge if it is proven that his gun was used in a shooting, even if he was not the shooter.
If Harrison was involved in the shooting, he could be subject to discipline by the National Football League for violating the league's guns and weapons policy or the league's personal conduct policy.
