(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Brandon Jones, Barbaro Canizares and Scott Thorman hit back-to-back-to-back solo homers in the sixth as the Richmond Braves pounded the Indianapolis Indians 7-1.

Jones and Canizares would drive in two runs apiece in support of Charlie Morton, who allowed a run on five hits over seven innings to improve to 2-and-0.

Nyjer Morgan scored the Tribe's lone run in the sixth when he reached on a bunt single, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on Matt Kata's groundout.

Game two of the four-game series is scheduled for this afternoon at Victory Field.
