Tribe Takes Win From Tide
(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Kevin Thompson’s RBI single with one out in the bottom of the ninth gave the Indianapolis Indians a 2-1 win over the Norfolk Tides.
Neil Walker put Indianapolis on the board with a solo home run leading off the second. Tike Redman tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the third.
Steve Pearce opened the ninth with a single and advanced to second when Craig Wilson was hit by a pitch. Pearce scored easily when Thompson laced a single down the right field line.
The Tribe has won the first three games of the series and go for the sweep when they face the Tides again tonight at Victory Field.
