(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Steve Pearce hit a grand slam and a solo homer, driving in all five Indianapolis runs as the Indians beat the Pawtucket Red Sox 5-4 at Victory Field.

Starter John Van Benschoten was the beneficiary of Pearce's outburst, improving to 3-and-0 after allowing a run on four hits in five innings of work.

George Kottaras made the game interesting, hitting a two-run homer off Tribe closer Jonah Bayliss in the top of the ninth to draw the paw sox to within a run.

The Tribe has taken two of three from Pawtucket heading to this evening's series finale at Victory Field.
