(BOSTON, MA) - The Indiana Pacers’ playoff hopes took a severe hit as they lost to the Boston Celtics 92-77.

Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 20 points and eleven rebounds as Boston picked up its 60th win of the season and tied the 1996-97 San Antonio Spurs for the largest one-season turnaround in league history. The Celtics were 24-and-58 last season, giving them 36 more wins than one year ago.

Danny Granger led Indiana with 14 points as the Pacers fall to 31-and-44. The loss combined with Atlanta's overtime win over Toronto gives the Hawks a four-game lead over the Pacers for their eighth and final playoff berth in the east with seven games remaining.

The Pacers play their next two against the Bucks - Friday in Milwaukee and Sunday at Conseco Fieldhouse.
