Former Champ Car Team Out Of Homestead-Miami Race

(HOMESTEAD, FL) - The IndyCar Series season gets underway this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway in South Florida.
Saturday's race will be without one of the top drivers from the former Champ Car World Series teams. Newman Haas Lanigan Racing has been forced to withdraw Graham Rahal's car from the entry list following a testing crash at Homestead on Tuesday night.
The 19-year-old son of the 1986 Indy 500 champion was not injured, but the team does not have a backup car for Rahal to drive.
Qualifying is scheduled for this evening with the race on Saturday night.
