Williams Won't Go With Pacers To Toronto
(INDIANAPOLIS) - The arrest of a murder suspect at Shawne Williams’ home is another headache for pacers CEO Donnie Walsh and Team President Larry Bird.
Both addressed the media on Thursday concerning the incident. Walsh said that while Williams was not suspended and will be paid, he told the second-year forward that he would not make the trip to Canada and that the club will deal with this latest incident and Williams' future next week.
Bird said that while the team is still gathering facts, he wanted it made clear to the team that they do not want their players "hanging around with murderers."
