Mitchell Falls In Sectional Final
(MITCHELL) - The Lady Bluejackets’ season ended Saturday night as a home crowd watched the Corydon Lady Panthers rally from behind a win, 53-51.
Mitchell lead entering each quarter but a 10-0 run in third quarter by Corydon and a back and fourth quarter sealed the fate of the Lady Bluejackets. Hearts were broken when Corydon's Chelsie Reed drove deep into the baseline and fired up a successful game winning jumper with 2 seconds left on the clock.
Amanda Trambaugh lead Mitchell with 18 points, Natalie Morse 16 and Jordan Wilson 11. Trambaugh also grabbed 6 rebounds in the loss Saturday night.
Mitchell ends their season with a 12-10 record under freshmen coach Frank Decker.
