(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - On a day of controversy surrounding the program, number-12 Indiana lost to 14th-ranked Wisconsin 68-66 at Assembly Hall.

Hours after NCAA allegations of major recruiting violations by the IU staff, the Hoosiers were beaten by the Badgers for the second time this season.

6-foot-11 Wisconsin senior Brian Butch banked in a three-pointer with less than five seconds remaining for the game-winning basket.

IU's duo of Eric Gordon and DJ White combined for 40 points, with Gordon turning in a game-high 23.

Indiana drops to 20-and-4 and gave up second place in the Big Ten standings to the Badgers. Indiana hosts number nine Michigan State on Saturday.
