Lady Lions And Orleans Bulldogs Out Of Sectionals
(MITCHELL) - Both the Lady Lions and Orleans Bulldogs were defeated in sectional action Friday night.
The Lady Lions of Salem fell to the Corydon Central Lady Panthers Friday night, 51-38, extinguishing any hopes of continuing in the Class 3A, Sectional 30 in Mitchell.
Whitney Malloy led Salem with 11 points, Megan Smith 6 and Shaylee Brown 5. Brown also had 3 rebounds for Salem on Friday night.
The Orleans Lady Bulldogs shot poorly against Northeast Dubois in a low scoring Class A, Sectional 61 matchup, 41-29.
Sara Talbert led Orleans with a team scoring high 9 points, Emily Grace tossed in 7 and Whitney Bradley chipped in 4 for the Lady Bulldogs. Three other players contributed 3 points each during Friday night's loss.
