Lady Bluejackets Advance In Sectional Action
(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell Lady Bluejackets took advantage of turnovers by the Charlestown Pirates, advancing in the Class 3A, Sectional 30 Friday night, 53-38.
Amanda Trambaugh led the Lady Bluejackets with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Natalie Morse added 9 points and 5 rebounds and three other Mitchell players contributed 7 points each in the win.
Despite 22 turnovers by the Pirates, Katie Jackson led Charlestown with 15 points. Amanda Miller followed with 10 points of her own.
With the win, the Lady Bluejackets move on the Class 3A sectional and will face the Corydon Central Lady Panthers in tonight's championship game. Tune in for all of the action on sister station Z102, 102.5 on the FM dial.
