King James And Crew Too Much For Pacers Squad
(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) LeBron James recorded his second-straight triple-double as the Cleveland Cavaliers used a late charge to get past the Indiana Pacers 106-97.
James finished with 31 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists as the Cavaliers used a 14-3 run over the final five minutes of the game to snap a two-game skid. Larry Hughes added 19 points and Zydrunas Ilgauskas finished with 14 points and 17 rebounds as Cleveland overcame the loss of guard Daniel Gibson to a sprained ankle in the third quarter.
Danny Granger led the Pacers with 30 points with Troy Murphy adding 20 for the Pacers, who have lost three in a row and ten of their last twelve. Granger hit all six of his free throw attempts and has hit his last 64 - breaking Reggie Miller's franchise record of 61-consecutive made free throws set in 2005.
The blue-and-gold have lost their last six games against Cleveland, including all three meetings this season.
The Pacers fall to 21-and-33 heading to a home-and-home weekend series with New Jersey. Indiana hosts the Nets on Friday night before heading to the Meadowlands for a rematch on Saturday night.
