IU Replaces Running Backs And Special Teams Coach

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana University has hired Dennis Springer as their new running backs coach and special teams co-coordinator.

Springer comes to Bloomington after spending a season as the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Western Kentucky University.

Springer has a longtime relationship with IU Head Coach Bill Lynch. The Fort Wayne native played under Lynch at Butler University and was an assistant under Lynch at Ball State University.

Springer replaces Gerald Brown, who left to take a job with the NFL's Atlanta Falcons.
