(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Dallas Clark’s stint as the Indianapolis Colts’ franchise player did not last long.

The Colts signed the veteran tight end to a new six-year contract one day after putting the franchise tag on him. Financial details were not released, but as the franchise player, Clark was given a one-year tender worth more than $4.5-million dollars.

Clark caught a career-high 58 passes for 618 yards and eleven touchdowns last season.

The Colts have also re-signed starting guard Ryan Lilja to a new five-year deal. Lilja's contract reportedly is worth $20-million dollars with $5.5-million dollars in guaranteed money.

Five Colts - linebacker Rocky Boiman, defensive tackle Dan Klecko, wide receiver Aaron Moorehead, guard Jake Scott and defensive end Josh Thomas - remain unsigned and would become unrestricted free agents on February 29th.

The annual NFL scouting combine is underway at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. Scouts, personnel people and coaches from all 32 teams will spend the next six days putting 335 top prospects for April's NFL draft through their paces.

Players will be measured, interviewed and put through physical workouts and mental testing as teams set up their shopping lists for the 2008 season. The workouts are closed to the public and to media not affiliated with the NFL Network.
