Boilermakers Gain Respect, Jump Up Coaches Poll

(UNDATED) - Butler and Purdue moved up, Indiana and Notre Dame moved down in this week’s ESPN/USA Today men’s basketball coaches poll.

The Bulldogs moved up two spots to eighth in this week's poll, the highest a Horizon League team has ever been ranked. Butler is at Illinois-Chicago on Wednesday.

The Boilers moved up eight places from number 23 to number 15. They are in Bloomington tonight to face the 14th-ranked Hoosiers.

IU's impressive win over Michigan State on Saturday was not enough to overcome their two-point loss to Wisconsin on Wednesday as the Hoosiers fell two places from twelfth.

The Fighting Irish fell from 18th to 21st following their loss to Connecticut last Wednesday. The Irish host Pitt on Thursday.
