Opening Day Announced For Lucas Oil Stadium

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Lucas Oil Stadium will open for business August 15th, 2008. At the same time, the RCA Dome is going to come down.
A New York-based demolition firm is going to do the work and it may involve explosives for parts of the concrete. Sabre Demolition Corporation put a more than 3.5 million dollar bid on the table.
John Klipsch with the Indiana Stadium and Convention Center Building Authority says the demolition contract is six months long, meaning teardown will be happening as Lucas Oil opens its doors for the 2008-2009 NFL season.
