Colts' Meeks To Meet With Redskin Officials

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indianapolis Colts Defensive Coordinator Ron Meeks is scheduled to meet with Washington Redskins officials today.
Washington Owner Dan Snyder and Football Operations Director Vinny Cerato will be in Indianapolis today for their second interview with Meeks.
Word of the followup interview with Meeks came one day after Washington dismissed Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams, who was the early favorite for the job. Williams was replaced as defensive coordinator by former Colts Assistant Coach Greg Blache. Former New York Giants Head Coach Jim Fassel is also a candidate for the Washington job.
The Redskins are looking for a replacement for hall-of-fame coach Joe Gibbs, who retired at the end of the season.
Meeks has spent six seasons as the Colts defensive coordinator. The horseshoes ranked first in scoring defense, second in pass defense and third in total defense during the 2007 season.
Snyder says he does not plan on introducing a new coach until after this Sunday's Super Bowl.
