Pacers Drop Knicks In New York
(NEW YORK, NY) - Mike Dunleavy scored a career-high 36 points to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 119-92 win over the New York Knicks.
Dunleavy scored 22 points in the third quarter, including nine straight on a 9-0 Pacers run, to break the game open. Dunleavy's run began with the game tied at 64. After Jamal Crawford broke the string with a pair of free throws, Dunleavy nailed a three-pointer, giving him 14-straight points for Indiana.
The Pacers outscored the Knicks 55-to-28 after the final tie. Jermaine O'Neal finished with 22 points and Danny Granger added 16 as Indiana won back-to-back games for the first time since late November.
Marion High School product Zach Randolph led the Knicks with 26 points with Stephon Marbury and Eddy Curry adding 16 points apiece.
New York had a stretch of 20-straight missed shots over a span of almost eleven minutes in the second quarter as they lose for the sixth time in their last seven games.
The Pacers are back over .500 at 13-and-12 as they return home to face the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers on Wednesday night. You can hear all of the action following Purdue Basketball on 1340 AM WBIW.
