(BLOOMINGTON) - The Indiana Hoosiers recorded a nice victory Saturday as they topped the Chicago State Cougars 97-59, the final tune-up before Big Ten play.

The Hoosiers were led by Eric Gordon who scored 22 points. Also giving a strong effort Saturday was D.J. White, who scored 21 points and pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds.

Elsewhere, the Purdue Boilermakers had a scare early in their matchup with the Florida International Golden Panthers as they found themselves down 16-0 at one point in the first half.

The Boilers quickly recovered, outscoring the Panthers 21-2 to close the half as they came away with the 59-44 victory.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish had no trouble with Brown University as they cruised to the 87-54 victory. The Irish had a balanced effort as all but one starter scored in double-figures.

The Irish were led by Rob Kurz who scored a game-high 15 points.

With the win, Notre Dame improves to 9-2 overall.
