Orleans Wins 2007 Tip-Off Tournament Over Paoli
(MITCHELL) - The 2007 Tip-Off Tournament kicked off the boys’ basketball season for the Mitchell Bluejackets.
Saturday was a full day of basketball as teams from Mitchell, Paoli, Orleans and Springs Valley took each other on.
The day started off as Jacob Smith and Michael Stroud lead the Orleans Bulldogs to a 56 to 36 win over the Springs Valley Blackhawks, that game was followed by the Paoli Rams putting the hurt on the Bluejackets, 63 to 46.
In finals action, Mitchell's Taylor Phillips helped lead the Bluejackets to a squeak-by win over Springs Valley 53 to 51 and finally, Orleans took the tournament championship over Paoli 52 to 36, with Jacob Smith and Michael Stroud putting up 21 buckets each.
