(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue University guard Jodi Howell will have a second surgery on her injured left shoulder and will apply for a medical redshirt.
The 2005 Indiana Miss Basketball from Alexandria High School had reconstructive surgery for a sprain in September. She will have a second surgery on Thursday after an infection developed in the shoulder.
If granted a medical redshirt, the five-eleven junior will have two years of eligibility remaining.
