Fighting Irish Looking For Home Victory
(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Notre Dame’s football season has been historic for all the wrong reasons.
The 1-and-9 Fighting Irish will try not to slide any further on Saturday when the 1-and-9 Duke Blue Devils come to Notre Dame Stadium.
The nine losses in one season is the most in the 104-year history of Notre Dame football.
The Irish are 0-and-6 in South Bend, the most games they have ever lost at home in one season. Duke enters the game riding a seven-game losing streak with their lone victory coming on the road at Northwestern in mid-September.
Notre Dame and duke have not met on the football field since 1966.
