Colts Survive Slow Start Against Falcons

(ATLANTA, GA) - The Indianapolis Colts survived a slow start to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 31-13.

The Falcons held the ball for 19 plays on the opening drive but had to settle for a 34-yard field goal from Morten Andersen. Atlanta made it 10-0 on a 48-yard touchdown pass from Joey Harrington to Roddy White.

The Colts got on the board in the second quarter when Peyton Manning hit Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark and Ben Utecht on scoring passes.

Andersen added a 30-yard field goal to make it 21-13 at the half.

Manning threw for 272 yards with the three touchdown passes and an interception. Anthony Gonzalez recorded his first 100-yard receiving game, catching six passes for 105 yards.

Harrington threw for 155 yards with a touchdown and two picks. White caught six passes for 104 yards and a score for Atlanta.

The Colts improve to 9-and-2 and will have ten days off before hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 2nd.
