More Rest, Then Practice Says Dungy
(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts have an unusual two days off during the week as they get ready to face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night.
Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy hopes to have most of his injured players back when practice resumes on Thursday. Among the players who are expected to return this week are wide receiver Marvin Harrison, running back Joseph Addai, safety Bob Sanders, linebacker Freddy Keiaho, backup tight end Ben Utecht and kick returner TJ Rushing.
The Colts held several of those injured players out of the Tampa Bay game two Sundays ago so that they would be ready for Monday night's key divisional game.
Jacksonville enters the game as one of the hottest teams in the AFC. The Jaguars lost their regular season opener at home to Tennessee, but won their next four games. At 4-and-1, they stand second to the 5-and-0 colts in the AFC South with Monday night's winner taking over first place in the division.
A key for the Colts will be stopping Jacksonville's potent ground attack which features running backs Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew. The Jags ran up 375 yards rushing in beating the Colts in Jacksonville last December.
