IU Fights For The Old Brass Spittoon

(UNDATED) - The Old Brass Spittoon is up for grabs yet again today as Michigan State and Indiana battle it out on the gridiron in East Lansing.
The Hoosiers currently hold the Spittoon after a 46-21 victory over Michigan State in Bloomington last season; however, the Spartans lead the all-time series with 38 wins, 15 losses, and two ties.
This season, the Hoosiers are 5-1 for the first time since 1994. They're coming off of a 40-20 victory at home against Minnesota.
As for the Spartans, they began the year with four consecutive victories but have dropped their last two, including a 48-41 loss to Northwestern last Saturday.
