(SOUTH BEND) - Boston College defeated Notre Dame 27-14.
The Irish fought valiantly against the fourth ranked team in the nation, but could not finish their drives offensively down the stretch.
The Eagles were led by quarterback Matt Ryan who completed 32 of 49 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns.
The loss drops Notre Dame to 1-5 overall, while the Eagles improved to 7-0.
