Shock Top Fever In Game Two Of Playoffs

(AUBURN HILLS, MI) - The Detroit Shock forced a decisive third game in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference Finals with a 77-63 win over the Indiana Fever, tying the series at a game apiece.
Deanna Nolan led five Detroit players in double-figures with a game-high 24 points, 15 of those coming in the second quarter.
The Fever led 20-16 after one, but Nolan's big second quarter helped the shock outscore the fever 25-12 in the period to take control of the game. Katie Smith finished with 14 points and Swin Cash added twelve points and ten rebounds for Detroit.
Anna Deforge led Indiana with 13 points with Tamika Whitmore contributing twelve off the bench and Sheri Sam adding ten. Tamika Catchings had an off night for the Fever, hitting just two of eight shots from the field to finish with seven points.
The series wraps up this evening at the palace of auburn hills with the winner advancing to the WNBA Finals where they will take on the Phoenix Mercury. Phoenix swept the San Antonio Silver Stars in the Western Conference Finals.
