Indy Considering Another Super Bowl Bid
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Ever since Indianapolis lost the bid for the Super Bowl in 2011, speculation has been that the city would go after the big game in 2012.
With the city hosting the kickoff of the 2007 NFL regular season, city officials are starting to talk more about that possibility. Deputy Mayor Steve Campbell says they are in the research phase.
Business leaders around the city have already been approached about re-committing resources for 2012. Business leaders put up millions of dollars for the 2011 pitch.
Indy lost to Dallas to host Super Bowl xv. The NFL owners advised Indy to try again.
