Notre Dame Player To Miss Three Games

(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Notre Dame defensive tackle Derrell Hand will be allowed to return to the team after serving a three-game suspension imposed by head coach Charlie Weis.
Hand was arrested last month and charged with propositioning a prostitute - a misdemeanor. He appeared before the school's disciplinary committee on Monday and was reinstated, returning to practice later that day.
Hand entered a pretrial diversion program and can have the charge against him dismissed in one year if he meets certain requirements.
