Indians Hold On To Wild Card With Loss
(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Toledo Mud Hens clinched the International League West division title with a 4-1 victory over the Indianapolis Indians.
Virgil Vasquez allowed a run on five hits over seven innings to improve to 12-and-5.
Erick Almonte drove in two runs for the Mud Hens, who won the West for the third-consecutive year.
Michael Ryan drove in the Tribe's lone run with a sacrifice fly as the Indians are still mathematically in the running for the wild card.
The Indians host the Columbus Clippers this evening in a doubleheader at Victory Field.
