(TERRE HAUTE, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts have opened training camp with rookie Tony Ugoh starting at left tackle.

Ugoh, second-year player Charlie Johnson and veteran right tackle Ryan Diem are the primary candidates to replace Tarik Glenn as Peyton Manning's blindside protector. Glenn, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, retired last week.

The Colts traded up to get Ugoh in the second round of last April's NFL draft.

Team President Bill Polian said at that time that Ugoh would probably play at guard this season but that the intent was for Ugoh to eventually replace Glenn at left tackle.
