Pacers Pick Up Point Guard
(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers have finally settled on a back-court back-up.
That is the report from the Indianapolis Star this morning. Thursday, the Pacers opted out of matching Toronto's offer to Macio Baston and instead reportedly decided upon point guard Travis Deiner.
The Indianapolis Star reported late Thursday that Deiner and the Pacers had agreed to a deal from the 2008 season.
The Pacers have yet to confirm the deal but Deiner's agent disclosed that a three-year deal has been made and details will be finalized next week.
Deiner comes to the Pacers from the Orlando Magic where he averaged 3.8 points and one assist in 49 games over two seasons.
